The HMAS Brisbane, an Australian war ship, now forms an artificial reef 5 miles off the coast of Maroochydore. The Blackall Ranges have many surprises. Walking tracks in the Mary Cairncross National Park to the Kondalilla Waterfalls where swimming is permitted when conditions are suitable. Wineries are also open for wine tasting through out the area
The Eumundi Markets are a 20 minute drive from The Duporth Riverside.
If it is grown, baked, designed or made, you’ll see it at the Eumundi Markets. With hundreds of stalls, this vibrant mecca will entice shoppers searching something different and locally produced. A must do for astute shoppers and souvenir hunters. |

A few minutes drive south of Eumundi is Yandina where the Ginger Factory is open daily. With a train ride through exotic tropical gardens, fun rides for the kids, gourmet treats from the Ginger shop and explore a heritage style village full of fascinating shops.

Opposite is the Macadamia Nut Factory where you can view the processing and the chocolate coating process of the macadamia nut. Sample and purchase these yummy treats from the tourist shop.
A journey on the Valley Rattler steam train is a truly memorable experience, meandering through picturesque country side and small country towns. Enjoy lunch at Imbil, and a stroll through the historic shops, an afternoon wine and cheese tasting for afternoon tea and a relaxing return journey to Gympie. |
